Mini-facelift in a 59 year-old Chicago area female in Downers Grove, IL*

This 59 year-old female presented with complaints of facial aging and wanted facial rejuvenation. Her main concerns were the bands and excess skin in her neck, her jowls and her loss of cheek volume. Given the anatomical changes in her face, we recommended a short scar facelift (mini-facelift) that could be done under local anesthesia in our JCAHO-accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. She had a short scar facelift with platelet rich plasma (PRP) and fat transfer to her cheeks and nasolabial folds, all under local (tumescent) anesthesia. The use of the platelet rich plasma during the facelift limited her postoperative bruising and swelling and shortened her recovery time. Her postoperative photos demonstrate a correction of her jowls, restoration of her cheek volume and an improved neck contour. She has a natural appearance and minimal visibility of her retrotragal scars.
