This is a 67 year-old male who presented with a squamous cell carcinoma of the vermilion of the lower lip. The patient had the skin cancer excised under local anesthesia with negative margins on frozen section. The defect was reconstructed in the operating room under general anesthesia. The lip was reconstructed with a mucosal advancement flap from within the mouth. The lip healed up without any complications and the patient had a good cosmetic result at 3 months.
