This is a 73 year-old male who presented to the office with complaints of facial aging. The patient was unhappy with his jowls and 'turkey neck' and said he looked older than how he felt. We discussed his options for treatment and decided on a short scar face and neck lift that could be done in our office-based surgicenter under local anesthesia. The patient underwent the procedure which involved a corset platysmaplasty of the neck and a short scar facelift using a SMAS plication. The patient had an oral sedative and narcotic for the procedure which involved tumescent anesthesia. He tolerated the procedure well, and had a nice improvement in his jawline and neck contour with restoration of his cheek volume. He stated that he looked like a younger version of himself and was happy with the overall result.
