This a 20 year-old male who was punched on the left side of his face and sustained a left zygomatico-maxillary complex (cheekbone) fracture as well as a left mandibular ramus fracture. The patient was treated in the operating room for the left zygomatico-maxillary complex (ZMC) fracture via a left transconjunctival incision, a left upper buccal sulcus incision, and a left upper eyelid incision under general anesthesia. Internal plating was done after reducing the left cheek fracture fragment. The left ramus fracture was treated with intermaxillary fixation (jaw wiring) for six weeks. At six weeks postoperatively, the patient had restoration of his bite and his left cheek projection was restored to normal. The patient had no visibility of his scars and had an uneventful postoperative course.
