Our Location

This is a 6 year-old male who was struck with a ball in the left eye. He complained of double vision and was unable to look up on exam. On CT scan he had a left orbital floor blowout fracture with entrapment of the orbital contents (possible trapdoor fracture). The patient had surgery under general anesthesia with reduction of the orbital contents and placement of a left orbital plate to correct the defect. This was done via a transconjunctival approach with no external incision. The patient had complete resolution of the double vision and complete mobility of the left eye at 6 weeks.
