Fat Grafting to Face in 37 year-old Chicagoland female in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 37 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of facial aging. The patient reported some loss of volume of her cheeks and the appearance of dark circles under her eyes. She also had deepening of her nasolabial folds. We recommended fat grafting to her face under local anesthesia. She had her procedure at our AAAASF accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. She had the procedure under local anesthesia with the fat being harvested from the lower abdomen. The fat was processed into microfat and nanofat. Microfat was injected into the nasolabial folds, corners of the mouth, upper lip, cheeks, and lower eyelids. Nanofat was injected into the tear trough deformity (dark circles under the eyes). The patient had an uneventful postoperative course with minimal bruising and swelling. At three months postoperatively, she has a noticeable improvement in cheek volume and a smooth transition from the lower eyelid to the cheeks. The tear trough deformities (dark circles) are corrected. The cheek volume improvement has resulted in a more angular appearance of her face and an overall more youthful appearance. She also has a noticeable improvement in her skin texture which often occurs after facial fat grafting.
