This is a 57 year-old male who presented to the office with complaints of facial aging. The patient reported he looked much older than his younger wife. On exam, he had significant neck laxity with blunting of his cervicomental angle and static platysmal banding in his neck. He also has prominent jowls and deepened nasolabial folds. The patient had also had his upper eyelids previously treated by another surgeon and wanted a revision to improve his results. We discussed a short scar facelift and necklift to be done under general anesthesia with a revision of his upper blepharoplasties. This would also include microfat transfer to his cheeks and nasolabial folds. The patient had his facelift surgery under general anesthesia at our AAAASF accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. We used both platelet rich plasma (PRP) and tranexamic acid (TXA) to decrease recovery time and reduce bruising and swelling. The upper eyelids were treated with a revision of his previous blepharoplasty removing some of the residual lateral excess skin. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and was pleased with the aesthetic outcome.
