Upper Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty) in a 49 year-old Chicago-area female*

This is a 49 year-old female who presented with complaints of excess skin of the upper eyelids. She reported that her upper eyelid eyeliner tattoo was no longer visible due to the excess skin hanging over it (hooding). We discussed an upper eyelid blepharoplasty (lift) that could be done under local anesthesia in the office. The patient had the procedure done which took about 30 minutes in duration. She tolerated the procedure well and had an uneventful postoperative course. She was completely recovered by one month and was able to see her eyeliner tattoo and reported that her eyes looked more vibrant.
