Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty for bulging and dark circles in Downers Grove, IL*

Patient is a 63 year-old female who presented with complaints of bulging and dark circles of her lower eyelids. She wanted her lower eyelid surgery at the time of her facelift surgery. She had bilateral lower eyelid excess fat removal via an internal (transconjunctival) incision and a pinch blepharoplasty for removal of some excess skin. This was done under local anesthesia. The skin removal was in a subciliary approach just under the eyelashes to avoid any visibility of the scar. Notice the correction of the bulging on the lateral view and elimination of the dark circles. She recovered from the surgery in one week.
