Otoplasty in a 42 year-old female in Downers Grove, IL by Dr Paresi*

This is a 42 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of prominent ears after a failed otoplasty by another surgeon. The previous surgery failed to address the patient's conchal hypertrophy. We discussed a revisionary otoplasty with conchal reduction and recreation of the antihelical fold with sutures. The patient had the procedure done under local anesthesia at our AAAASF accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. The procedure was done via a postauricular incision. A section of the excess conchal cartilage was removed followed by placement of Mustarde sutures to recreate the antihelical fold. The patient tolerated the procedure well and had an uneventful postoperative course.
