33 year-old female who had anatomical (shaped, tear drop) 620 ccs silicone breast implants placed by another surgeon who presented with visibility of the implants. She had a very slight build with minimal soft tissue over the implants. She also had both periareolar and inframammary incisions from her previous surgeries. She noted that the implants were visible at her cleavage and the lower aspect of her breasts. The shaped implants were wider than the patient's base width of her chest leading to more visibility of the implants and rippling at her cleavage. We suspected a malposition of the shaped implants which was found at the time of surgery. The implants were exchanged for Allergen Inspira Extra High Profile SRX 545 cc Silicone Breast Implants which were wrapped in GalaFlex mesh. The wrap was used to provide for some soft tissue augmentation to decrease the visibility of the implants. We used both inframammary incisions to exchange the implants. Notice the improvement in contour and the elimination of implant visibility on the postoperative photos. We discussed an additional procedure to address the nipple asymmetry but the patient opted to not have it at a second stage.
