This is a 40 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of symptomatic macromastia. The patient was having back pain, neck pain, bra strap grooving, and difficulty with exercise due to her very large breasts. She underwent bilateral vertical scar (short scar) breast reductions of 350 grams per side at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. The surgery was done under general anesthesia. The patient was discharged to home the same day. She had an uneventful postoperative course and had complete resolution of her symptoms after the surgery.
