This is a 39 year-old male with a history of 150 lbs weight loss in the past who had a previous lower body lift by another surgeon with a less than optimal result. We performed a revision of his lower body lift with rectus plication and use of Exparel and the drainless technique for the tummy tuck. The procedure was done as an outpatient at our AAAASF accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL under general anesthesia. We used Quill barbed sutures and injected Exparel (liposomal Marcaine) at the time of the surgery to decrease the need for postoperative narcotics. The patient had a nice improvement in contour and had an uneventful postoperative course.
