Liposuction of the Arms under Local Anesthesia in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 50 year-old female who presented with very large arms which were out of proportion with the rest of her body. The patient did not want the scar associated with a brachioplasty (arm lift). She opted to awake circumferential liposuction of the upper arms with the awareness that she may have some excess skin after the liposuction. She had the procedure under tumescent anesthesia at our AAAASF office-based surgical center in Downers Grove, IL. At three months postoperatively, the patient had significant skin contraction and reduction in the overall size of her arms. She was happy with the results.
