Tummy Tuck and Liposuction in Downers Grove, IL with Dr Paresi*

This is a 51 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of her abdominal shape after pregnancy. She had three children in the past and wanted a tummy tuck since her last pregnancy 13 years prior. On exam, she had some lower abdominal tissue excess with a central muscle bulge consistent with rectus diastasis. We recommended a full tummy tuck using the drainless technique with liposuction of the waist and back bra rolls to address adiposities of her sides and improve her overall tummy tuck result. She had a full tummy tuck and liposuction at our JCAHO accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. We used the drainless technique with quilting sutures and injected Exparel at the time of the surgery for postoperative pain control. The Micro-aire power-assisted liposuction machine was used for liposuction of the waist and back bra rolls to improve the overall result. Permanent sutures were used for the rectus diastasis repair to correct the muscle bulge and result in a flatter tummy. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and was happy with the overall improvement in contour.
