Extended Tummy Tuck in 37 year-old Chicago area female in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 37 year-old female with a history of a 90 lb weight loss who presented with a lower abdominal pannus and extensive stretch marks. Given the size of her skin excess, we recommended an extended tummy tuck with liposuction of her waist. We performed an extended tummy tuck and liposuction of the waist under general anesthesia at our JCAHO accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. with Dr Paresi. She had 12 pounds of tissue removed and Exparel and a drainless technique with Quill barbed quilting sutures was used. She had aggressive liposuction of her flanks using the Microaire power-assisted liposuction machine to contour her waist. A sub-scarpal fat resection was performed up to the level of the xiphoid process to give her better abdominal definition. At three months, she had an excellent improvement in contour and was very happy with her results.
