Liposuction in 57 year-old Chicago area female at InsideLookMD in Downers Grove*

The patient presented to the office with complaints of hanging abdominal tissue and lack of a waist line. She had gained some weight and was unable to lose it with diet and exercise. She had laser liposuction of her tummy and waist under local anesthesia with tumescent fluid. We used the MicroAire power-assisted liposuction machine and the Cynosure Smartlipo machine for the laser liposuction portion of the procedure. The latest generation Smartlipo machine uses a 1440 laser to target the fat and other wavelengths to help with skin contraction. Notice the significant improvement in her stretch marks on the postoperative photos and the elimination of her pannus. She is now able to wear better fitting clothes and has a better overall figure.
