The patient presented to the office with complaints of fat of her outer thighs and below her buttocks (banana roll). She wanted more defined hips and buttocks and an improvement of her profile. We decided on laser liposuction with the Smartlipo laser and treatment with the MicroAire power-assisted liposuction machine. She had 250 ccs of lipoaspirate suctioned from each side. This was all done under tumescent (local) anesthesia. The patient was awake during the entire procedure which took about one hour. She left the office 30 minutes after the procedure completely comfortable with a compression garment on which she wore for one week. At five weeks, she was very happy with the result.
