Tummy Tuck in 32 year-old female in Downers Grove, IL by Dr Paresi*

This is a 32 year-old mother of two who was a Cross-Fit athlete. She had two previous C-sections. She reported that since her last pregnancy she had an abdominal bulge with strenuous exercise. On exam, she has a significant rectus diastasis. We recommended a full tummy tuck with liposuction of the waist. The patient had the surgery under general anesthesia at our AAAASF accredited surgical facility in Downers Grove, IL. We used a drainless technique and Exparel (liposomal Marcaine) for better postoperative pain control. Liposuction of the waist was performed with the Micro-Aire power-assisted liposuction machine. A permanent suture was placed for the muscle repair. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and was back to her normal Cross-Fit routine after 2 months. She noted a significant in her abdominal profile and muscle definition.
