This is a 40 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of abdominal skin excess and a muscle bulge after three previous pregnancies. The patient had three previous C sections. She also had some adiposity of her waist and back bra roll areas which was affecting her waistline. We recommended a drainless tummy tuck and liposuction of the waist and back bra rolls under general anesthesia. The surgery was performed at our AAAASF accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. The patient had the drainless tummy tuck with a full muscle tightening (rectus plication), progressive tension sutures to avoid the need for drains with Quill sutures. The liposuction of the waist and back bra rolls was done with the MicroAire power-assisted liposuction machine. This was all done under general anesthesia. A low lower abdominal incision was used and the belly button was recreated using a special technique. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and had a nice improvement in her abdominal contour and waistline at 6 months postoperatively.
