Tummy Tuck Revision in 46 year-old Chicagoland female in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 46 year-old female with a history of significant weight loss in the past who presented with a significant amount of excess skin of the abdominal area and a muscle separation. The patient had a previous tummy tuck by another surgeon twenty years prior but did not have muscle tightening (rectus plication) or adequate skin excision at that time. The patient had lost more weight but was bothered by the significant amount of skin excess, the lateral dog ears, and the muscle bulge that was not corrected the first time. The patient had her surgery in our office-based, AAAASF-accredited, surgical facility in Downers Grove, IL. The patient had an extended tummy tuck revision with excision of the lateral dog ears. The patient had Exparel injected in the abdominal wall at the time of the surgery and the drainless technique was used. She had an uneventful postoperative course and had a nice improvement in contour at 4 month.
