Tummy Tuck, Lipo of Waist and Back Bra Rolls, Dr Paresi in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 44 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of a muscle separation and excess lower abdominal tissue after pregnancy. The patient wanted a full tummy tuck with liposuction of the waist and back bra rolls to give her a 'snatched' appearance. She had the surgery under general anesthesia at our AAAASF accredited office-based operating room in Downers Grove, IL. The patient had a full tummy tuck with a muscle plication to correct the diastasis. Exparel (liposomal Marcaine) was injected into the abdominal wall at the time of the plication to decrease the postoperative pain and limit the need for postoperative narcotics. The patient was also placed in lateral decubitus position on each side and liposuction of the waist and back bra rolls was performed to correct the multiple rolls of the back. This improved her overall waist contour. The patient had a normal appearing belly button and a low abdominal incision which further enhanced her result. She had an uneventful postoperative course and was happy with her results.
