Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in 42 year-old Chicagoland female in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 42 year-old female who presented to the office with complaints of loss of buttocks volume and a masculine buttocks shape. The patient had a previous tummy tuck but had some residual fatty deposits of her hips and back bra rolls. We discussed liposuction of her hips and back bra rolls, and a fat transfer to her buttocks to improve her loss of buttocks volume and create a more feminine shape. We discussed a less than 1000 ccs fat transfer to each buttocks (skinnny BBL). The patient had the procedure at our AAAASF accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. The surgery was done under general anesthesia. The liposuction was performed with the MicroAire power-assisted liposuction machine, and the fat was processed for transfer using the Wells Johnson HVP fat transfer system. This is a closed system that allows for minimal fat manipulation and shorter times from harvest to fat injection. This results in a shorter procedure. The fat was injected using the Wells Johnson HVP system which was connected to the MicroAire power-assisted liposuction cannula. This allows for use of the vibratory lipofilling technique which is safer with better results. The patient had 600 ccs of fat injected into each buttocks cheek with 60% in the outer half of the buttocks and 40% in the inner half. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and had a stable result at 4 months postop.
