Nasal Reconstruction after removal of Basal Cell Carcinoma in Downer's Grove, IL*
The patient presented to the office with biopsy positive basal cell carcinoma of the nose. Given the size, we recommended excision with frozen section margin analysis to confirm removal of the cancer. The cancer was excised in our JCAHO accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. Once the margins were clear, the patient had a significant defect of the nasal dorsum. We reconstructed the defect with a Bishop's Hat flap under local anesthesia. At 6 months the patient was completely healed with a good cosmetic result.More
